Loving Spirit Giving Circles
We have created a number of circles to honor the vision and generosity of individuals who support the work of Loving Spirit. Your donations are literally the wind beneath our wings and make it possible for us to continue this work and build the movement to change the way our culture deals with grief and loss. Your gifts help to change the future.
The Pay it Forward Circle: Individuals who have previously attended a Loving Spirit Workshop and want to provide for others to attend by donating the costs of supplies and materials for another participant, $125.00, or more. This generous gift means that our workshops will continue to be offered in cities throughout the nation and that they will always be free to our participants.
The Tribute Circle: This circle is for those whose gifts to Loving Spirit are
meant to honor the memory of a deceased loved one, or celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday or wedding, while supporting our work. We will work with you to provide special recognition of your deceased loved one by remembering them at a Loving Spirit Workshop and sharing their story and photograph with our participants. And for those in whose honor a celebratory gift is given, we will send a congratulatory card appropriate to the occasion with a note about your donation.
The Sustaining Circle: For those who support our efforts by recurring gifts on either a monthly or quarterly basis. This allows us to budget more effectively, bringing Loving Spirit Workshops to more people in more places. It is easy on your wallet and easy to enroll in by simply checking the recurring option on the donor page.
Recurring donations may be in any amount of money. Your credit card will be charged automatically each month if you select this option.
The Loving Spirit Circle: This circle is for those who support the work of Loving Spirit by making unrestricted gifts of $1,000.00 or more annually. Loving Spirit Circle members play a critical role in helping us transform the journey of loss and enjoy a unique relationship with Loving Spirit. In recognition of their critical support we endeavor to keep Loving Spirit Circle members fully informed about our plans and progress. And, if members find themselves dealing with difficult issues of grief or loss they will have special access to our team to discuss options and resources that may be made available to them.
The Legacy Circle: Members of this circle make gifts of cash, appreciated securities, retirement plan assets, life insurance proceeds, real estate or tangible personal property to Loving Spirit through their wills, estates, trusts or other means.
Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in her will or estate. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:
-IRAs and retirement plans
-Life insurance policies
-Commercial annuities
It is simple to name Loving Spirit as the beneficiary for this type of gift:
- Contact your retirement plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form.
- Decide what percentage (1-100) you would like us to receive, then name us, along with the percentage you chose, on the beneficiary form.
- Return the completed form to your plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution.
NOTE: For those who do decide to remember Loving Spirit in their legacy plans, please use our legal name and federal tax ID number.
